Styling the Lindsay Kimono
LuLaRoe’s Lindsay Kimono is oversized, and I like it! There are so many fun ways to style, add shape, and take away volume from this unique piece.
A kimono – while actually a traditional Japanese garment – is used by LLR to describe a flowy, layering piece. LuLaRoe’s Lindsay kimono comes in three different sizes, and there is a lot of flexibility on which size to choose depending on how you want the piece to fit.
Here, I’ve styled the same Lindsay kimono 4 different ways using a simple black belt (purchased several years ago from Aldo), and knotting it to change the shape/volume of it. I’ve paired this Lindsay with a pair of black leggings and a simple black cardigan. The length of the Lindsay covers my bum, and I feel completely comfortable. It’s a great work or play outfit.
The size chart is there as a guide, but please don’t follow it like it’s law. I’ve seen a size 22 wear a small Lindsay, like a fitted cardigan. Amazing! I’ve seen a size 4 wear a large Lindsay as a bathing suit cover-up. So cute!
Clothes should be fun and showcase your unique style, and the Lindsay kimono is a great accessory piece. It will add so much sass to your closet!
